Duncan and Gina - Spring Grove Hall, Nelson | Nelson Wedding Videographer

Stop right now! Let us prepare you for a wedding like no other, this Nelson wedding will leave you an emotional wreck, completely overwhelmed and yet begging for more. Grab the tissues and possibly a whisky (as it would be rude not to given the grooms of Scottish descent) and let us welcome you to the most emotionally charged and wildly wonderful wedding of Gina and Duncan!

We LOVE a good rom-com but Gina and Duncan's story is the real-life version. Enduring long-distance on numerous occasions, living in different countries yet traveling across the globe to visit one another, and that utterly romantic story Duncan shares of their New York minute where everything changed, ah my heart can't take it! Clearly, it was worth the wait for that "oh shit! we're husband and wife!" moment Gina shared during their wedding speeches at the Spring Grove Drill Hall.

Gina and Duncan were married at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Central Nelson which was hugely sentimental being that this church was the same church where Gina's parents had once tied the knot to. After the ceremony, Gina and Duncan shared some quiet time together visiting past family members at a nearby cemetery before meeting up with their bridal party for a picnic and photos.

Amongst the festivities of competitive beer pong, whisky drinking, and tie-to-forehead dancing guests during their wedding reception at the Spring Grove Drill Hall, there were also some pretty touching moments that really brought everyone together. Gina shared the most heartbreaking tribute to her beautiful mother during her wedding speech and we truly feel she was with them every step that day.

We really admire these two, life has truly challenged them but they stay strong through and through. (And yes I might be tearing up as I write this a little) We often leave a wedding feeling like we have known our couple for many years, it's such an intimate and emotional occasion and it truly doesn't feel like a job with couples this lovely. Thank you again to Gina and Duncan for including us in capturing your day!
