Weddings are truly so much fun and there really isn’t a better excuse to organize “The” celebration of all celebrations than your wedding right!? Hence why we absolutely love weddings!

We consider ourselves so lucky to be a part of our couple’s wedding days, capturing amazing celebrations, being surrounded by happy people, and with couples having the best day ever.

We enjoy getting to know our couples leading up to their big day and have traveled throughout New Zealand and have even been lucky enough to have captured weddings internationally a couple of times.

Meet the Team

  • James

    Hey, I'm James! My journey in photography started when my now-wife, Carrie, gifted me a camera, and I shot my first wedding at the age of 21. Since then, I've had a fantastic ride, meeting fascinating people, traveling to different parts of New Zealand and the world to capture unforgettable moments.

    When I'm not busy photographing weddings, you'll find me on the road in our Kombi van, catching up on the latest Netflix series or playing video games. My passion for movies has had a profound influence on my photography and filmmaking aspirations. I love knowing that I'm creating heirlooms and memories that will be cherished by our couples and their families for years to come.

    To me, photography and film capture not only the moment but also the emotions, era, and memories associated with it. I aim to inspire and move people through my work and believe that my clients' special day deserves nothing less than the best.

  • Carrie

    A little about me; I am a proud as punch country girl born and raised in rural Nelson. At the youthful age of 17, I decided I wanted a drastic change and moved to Christchurch City where I spent two years studying art, design, and photography.

    James and I knew each other from Highschool but it wasn’t until moving back to Nelson that we started dating. We share similar passions like travel, a love of Mexican food, and photography!

    What started as a passion project capturing friend’s weddings and engagements turned into us capturing weddings throughout New Zealand and internationally most weekends, how lucky are we! James and I tied the knot in March 2018, we had the best day ever surrounded by our favorite people and this experience has only inspired us more to ensure our couples have a great time also!

    Kia ora and hi! My name is Claudia and I’m an ocean lover and traveller. I love adventures on, under and in the water. For the last 10 years I’ve been living and enjoying my life in Nelson. There’s so much beauty here to experience and capture - and your special day could be part of it. I love catching details and the little but very special moment with my camera and can’t wait to be part of the start of your adventure.
